This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
There's nothing special you need to prepare. Depending on the type of shoot, that might mean picking out an outfit for a headshot session, having your car cleaned and ready for an automotive shoot, or just sending over the event or game schedule in advance. I'll walk you through what to expect for your specific session so there's no guesswork on your end.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the project. Session length, deliverables, and usage all factor in, so pricing for a headshot session looks different than a wedding or a multi day event. I put together a quote based on what you actually need rather than a flat rate. The phone call or email will help in the end to ensure that there are no surprises in the end.
What services do you offer?
Photography and videography across couples sessions, portraits, professional headshots, automotive content, events, sports, and music, plus ongoing commercial work through day rate or retainer arrangements.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a deposit secures your date and is applied toward the total cost. The remaining balance is due after the session or per the terms outlined in your agreement. Side note, the deposit is non refundable, unless certain circumstances should arise.
What happens if the weather conditions aren't ideal?
If conditions aren't safe or workable, whether that's a portrait session, car shoot, or outdoor event, we'll reschedule when possible at no extra cost (but I'm a fan of shooting in the rain, if need be). For fixed date shoots like games or concerts that can't be rescheduled, I'll plan around the conditions as best I can and communicate with you ahead of time.
Are the travel expenses included?
For local shoots within the Denver area, travel is typically included. For locations further out, including out of town events, games, or competitions, a travel fee may apply, which I'll outline clearly before booking so there are no surprises.
Do you offer ongoing or retainer work for businesses?
Yes, for brands, teams, or venues that need consistent photo or video content, I offer day rate and monthly retainer options so you're not booking each project one at a time.
What if I need to reschedule?
Just reach out as soon as you know. For sessions with flexible dates, like portraits or headshots, I'll work with you to find a new time. For shoots tied to a fixed date, like a game, concert, or event, rescheduling isn't always possible, so I'll be upfront about that when we book.
What's your turnaround time for edited photos or video?
Turnaround varies by project size and type, whether that's a quick headshot batch or full coverage from a multi day event. I'll give you a specific timeline when we book so you know exactly what to expect.
